Meet PPSA
The Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA) believes in the power of partnerships and knowledge exchange in shaping better lives for Filipino farmers.
Our Vision
The Enabler of multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable and inclusive food systems that empower and transform smallholder farmers and fishers to be self-reliant and resilient.
Our Mission
We harness the collective strength of agricultural value chain players towards transforming food systems to become climate positive and inclusive through market-driven solutions.

PPSA brings together companies, government agencies, civil society organizations, farmer groups and financial institutions to link smallholder farmers to the market with the shared goal of improving farmers’ profitability and productivity while increasing the environmental sustainability of their farms.
PPSA was catalyzed by Grow Asia, a partnership platform initiated by the World Economic Forum and the ASEAN Secretariat.
How do we create value?
PPSA highlights the value of private and public sector engagement, regional support, inclusive business practices, digital solutions and innovations, knowledge exchange and policy advocacy, and greater synergies towards agricultural productivity.

How did we start?
The Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA) was formally launched in 2015 by Grow Asia and the Department of Agriculture in partnership with local and global companies. In 2017, Grow Asia launched its collaboration with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), a business-led social development organization committed to poverty reduction. In June 2020, Grow Asia ended the partnership with PBSP to establish PPSA as a legal entity.
The collaboration established the PPSA Secretariat which serves as an in-country coordinating body. It has been providing on-the-ground support to Working Groups in the areas of performance measurement, resource mobilization, research and technical assistance as well as communications.
