About the Event
Filipinos only consume about one-third of the 400g/day of vegetables recommended by the FAO. The Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture is running a two-part learning and action-planning session on "Advancing a Healthier and Food-Wise Filipino Nation" to identify the most effective way to bridge this gap while supporting smallholder livelihoods. To register for Part 1 (15 October, 1PM GMT+8) and contribute your insights, click here: bit.ly/PPSA-Veg1 Speakers will include the Department of Agriculture (DOA), Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-FNRI), East-West Seed and Yamang Bukid Healthy Products. These organizations will outline the current vegetable production and consumption landscape in the #Philippines and provide an overview of their initiatives to increase vegetable consumption.
